“My experience at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (CHA HPMC) was truly memorable. As a first-time mom, I was nervous about the entire process, but the doctors, nurses, and staff provided incredible care from the moment I arrived. Everyone checked on me constantly, offering reassurance and support, even during their breaks.”
Melissa Acosta Castro recently welcomed her first baby, Emiliano Gracia, at CHA HPMC. Although she initially planned for a natural birth, complications arose when her baby’s umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. After 24 hours of labor with limited dilation, the medical team made the critical decision to perform a C-section to ensure the baby’s safety.
“I was just really tense, but the moment I heard his first cry, I knew everything was worth it.”
Melissa also appreciated how smooth the check-in process was and how kind and helpful all the staff members were, from the nurses to the security team. Even during recovery, the team closely monitored her health, making sure she was healing well.
Melissa is grateful for the exceptional care she received and would gladly choose CHA HPMC again in the future, knowing she was in good hands.
